Office Breakups

Workplace romances gone sour reduce productivity, revealed a recent American survey. Once passions fade, the people involved can be distracted, try to avoid each other, and sometimes even change jobs. They also seem to burn women more that men, with 43% of women reporting their work suffered y a failed romance as opposed to 25% of men. The survey also found that:

• Half of men and women had been involved in a romantic or physical relationship with a co-worker.
  
• Another 15% of women had been interested romantically in a colleague but didn’t get involved.
  
• About a third have had sex with a co-worker.
  
• Two thirds of women kept their workplace relationship a secret, but only 42% of men did.
  
• 7% faced disciplinary action as a result of their work relationships – some were fired from their jobs!
