Good Cherry
Cherries are full of nutrients, notably pectin(which helps control blood cholesterol), vitamin C and beta-carotene, with some potassium. Sour cherries have more vitamin C, than sweet ones. Cherries are also high in a number of phytochemicals which may have anti-cancer properties, and quercetin, a flavonoid which is an antioxidant which helps in anti-inflammatory and antihistaminic properties. And cherry juice is known to prevent tooth decay. It's summer now - time to go for the little red fruit.
