Parents Role Change
Of late, there has been news items of gruesome murders, suicides and rapes of children. The child especially in metropolitan cities needs better parenting. Home should be a peaceful place where the child feels secure and basks in the love of their parents. Not only physical but also emotional and spiritual needs of the children should be fulfilled. The father and mother essentially must be in a loving, trusting and caring relationship. Happiness does not depend on money alone. Money can buy only material goods, but ultimately a home where love endures, shall help the child to blossom and achieve the best result in anything that they pursue. Mothers must try their best to set good examples to their children. But the fathers should also pitch in to build a good and strong character for the child securing for them a bright future.
Getting a Credit Card
We have time for many of the unnecessary details in life. But in most cases forget our important needs. And one among these left out features is the credit card. Though very much of use for ones who shop a lot few go without it mostly due to the time it takes to get one. But not now. I came across a site where all you need to do is visit it, choose among the various cards they offer in their kitty and within seconds Apply for a Credit Card.

The credit card hub gives a number of choices for you to choose the best from. Totally a place guaranteed to save your time and get your job done.

My rantings!!
Why me? Why after all this? Why don't people just understand? Is it necessary that I have to be the guinea pig for all their experiments? Or that I have to be the punching bag that they all would love to try upon when simply depressed? I've just had enough of all this. I'm thinking what would have happened in case I was not there. Where would they try out all their antics. That's the reason! That I simply listen to everything without a word against them. But I have had enough. No more. How much can one person bear? I can't take this more. It all stops. Here.

High-Tech Winter Wear
Keeping warm has gone high tech. How to layer:
- Layer One: Wear a thin, moisture-wicking shirt. Fabrics such as polypropylene and Thermax pull sweat from the body, drawing it to the clothing surface, where it evaporates, keeping you warm and dry.
- Layers Two and Three: Next, a moisture-wicking sweatshirt and top it off with a jacket that's waterproof, windproof and breathable and can push moisture to the surface.
- Wear mittens over your gloves. Mittens allow heat to escape around fingers and provide a warm pocket of air.
- Don't forget a hat. More than 50% of heat loss is from the head. Look for wool hats that are lined with polypropylene.

The Right Frames
Picking the right spectacle frames can be tricky. Not every frame suits every other person. Here's a few things to help you get the right one for you. In case your face is:
->Oval: Almost anything goes.
->Round: Elongate it by choosing angular frames with sides that are straight up and down.
->Square: Soften with curves on the outer rims.
->Oblong: Shorten by choosing frames that emphasize the lower rims.
->Heart: Bring a narrow jawline and wide forehead into proportion with strong lower rims.
->Diamond: Balance a narrow forehead, wide cheekbones and a narrow jawline with softly curved frames.

Financial Health
How many times have you worried about the health of your family? Making them feel secure, taking care of their daily needs, getting them the things they love? Well you might say many time for the above questions and feel good about it all. I did too. Till I chanced upon the BillsIQ quiz once and found out how far good I was on the financial front. Trust me it made me feel so weak to think that I, who prided myself on many decisions had so many potholes in my life. This quiz helped me understand more as to where I lacked in my decisions and what I had to do to get my life back on the track. I still remember my chants during the time:
I've got too many bills
Just mounting up like hills
On the car, on the house
Oh what a mighty mess

I sure should thank them for making me wake up to the mess I had unknowingly created around me and thus help me organize my financial situation better. They showed me how to Consolidate debt situations and thus brought me forward to a life I could enjoy more. It's so easy to say I would have taken control but how could I have when I never knew how worse it was in the first place. I would suggest all to find out how their financial health is faring once in a while. It sure will help you get hold of your life and bring it back to the place where you want it to be.

Using VoIP
For the many who didn't know till now, VoIP stands for Voice over Internetworking Protocol(or even Internet Protocol though this is not truly right). This is a system which allows you to make phone calls by just plugging you telephones into, well listen again, the computer. This means you can now make calls to other subscribers all round the world and all you'll be needing is the Internet. Specifically since VoIP requires fast Internet it means that you need a broadband connection, so this mostly benefits only those who use the Net facility quite regularly. And it is an excellent way to communicate in case you have many relatives abroad because the rates are really really know in this. This is more suitable only for other like subscribers of the same service. In case you want to talk to someone who does not have this facility you need to pay extra. But overall this is a technology that has made communication cheaper and brought a new revolution to the front.
Know more on Web Hosting
Many times I've felt the need to have a site of my own but given my hectic schedule never been able to find time to create one leave alone the other requirements involved. But once going through the Net in compliance with my own work I chanced upon a site which offered to build my own site, maintain it for me and what not. That was the first time I had heard of webhosting. But searching through the Web I soon found there were too many stores offering to do the work for me and I found myself as stranded a child on a crowded road. That was when I decided to do my own homework. I went through as much as I could get my hands on about this new trend and its pros and cons. Believe me it led me to understand this complex web that they have created within the World Wide Web. Have any of you even heard of Ruby on Rails? If you do good enough for you but if you don't, then, there you're caught. Well I would advise everyone to do their brushing up before they fall for this web hosting phenomenon. My all time advice. Never jump into anything that you can't understand.
Spice Shelf Life
Dark herbs and spices never go bad, so you can keep them for long without worrying of the effect to your health. However, as time goes by, their flavor fades. You can anyhow keep it fresh for long by keeping your seasonings in a cool dark place, away from the heat. But remember that since pantry bugs love anything red, the same spices like paprika and cayenne pepper should be stored in the freezer. With proper care you can expect the flavor in your food to last from one year in case of herbs like parsley or basil to five years in the case of whole spice which includes peppercorns, cloves and cinnamon sticks.
Reviews on Web Hosting
Getting your own website is a craze now, with almost everyone trying to jump into the bandwagon. But all this is easier said than done. Of course many have the skills to buy a site or even create and own one, beautify it, customizer it to their liking, maintain it and regularly scrutinize it. Well even saying that seems to take up much of my postings, so what a lot of work! Seems like once you start out on this you won't have time for anything not even for building up your business which is the reason you started this site! But I always wonder why people waste such a lot of time on this work when they can easily outsource them all, and ll for a small fee. Has no one ever heard of a web host or is that some people have heard but act like they haven't. If I'm right it's more like they don't know whom to approach. That's why they don't want to approach most of these sites. But when you can get help with reviews on the best and worst available especially straight from the webmaster or even the customers well won't you love it. Here's help providing you with the best deals to approach the hosting service which can garner to your said demands. So get set and do it before the world overtakes you.
Out Shopping? Take control
How many times have we found ourselves get out to buy one thing and then end up with something not at all in relation. Well here's how to make sure you get only things you want and nothing more.
->Pick up a basket. This will make you head straight for the counter when it gets too heavy. Make sure you get away from the trolleys. They never let you know the amount of extras you're carrying.
->Make a list and stick to it. Most shops keep the necessary groceries miles apart so you have to traverse all the aisles searching for them. Stay away from the unwanted.
->Beware of offers especially the BOGOF(Buy One Get One Free) ones. You seriously don't need an extra most times.
->Just take cash. Credit cards force you to buy more than your pockets can handle.

Electronic Photo Frame
Technology seems to be moving faster than the said word itself. When I was a little girl I remember sitting on my dad's chair and seeing so many photographs on his table all enclosed in their shining, simple or even formal looking photo frames. Even my table has all these photos. But the difference is that all of this is enclosed in a single photo frame. Well that is how the electronic photo frame has changed the way we look at stuff. With it out of the class photo frame which suits any location whether official or the cosy and comfortable home kitchen, it just blends into its surroundings.

And what does this do? It allows us to have individual photographs of our loved ones, or a collage of them all, or even a slide show showcasing all the lovely moments we've spent. And all that is needed is a USB and a memory card to store the entire selection and we have a photo album right on our table. We can change it to our liking, shift its position and simply move it around. No longer carrying bulky albums around. One photo frame space is enough.

Online Quacks
They were till yesterday ruling our lives through their clinics run on the roads. Now they have started attacking through the Internet too. I'm talking about people selling "medical cures" online. Here are some ways to always be wary.
->Claims that most diseases are caused by diet or can be cured with supplements.
->Pseudo-medical jargon: eg, offers to 'detoxify' or 'balance' your body(on what a tight rope??)
->Anyone claiming that doctors, drug companies or government wants to suppress their find.
->Products claimed to work against many unrelated diseases.
->Encouragement to ignore established scientific thinking and 'think for yourself'. Come on remember. You are not a doctor or knowledgeable enough to make such a decision.
->Allowing desperation to cloud your judgment. Now this is something you really have to be careful f. Don't let heart rules head phenomenon take over here.

Finding my diet pill
Since I spent most of my time on the Net my constant job is to follow sites regularly and check their response. This does not apply to all sites but just few that catch my attention when I come across them in my browsing journey. That was how I was brought to view consumerpricewatch once. Having seen many of its predecessors (and still viewing its successors) I felt it would just be another one of those very prominent diet pill review places. But I should say I liked their approach to few pills. They had their ratings set out based on 12 points and one day going through the site I came across the review for one suppressant drug called Phentermine. They had given a gist of how it works on the body, a point I had seen many other sites even normal medical ones forget to mention. While many others give the ingredients available they forget that most of the consumers have not much knowledge of these stuff. But a detailed description serves better as it helps us understand clearly what the drug actually does. I showed me how the drug worked straight on our brain controlling the nerves and hence could be taken as long as we are not pregnant, have history of heart related diseases or even if we have allergies. It was a drug which helps suppress our hunger and thus helps us control our diet. Now that's what I call a complete review.
The truth behind a Face-lift
Cosmetic surgery is now getting so famous world round, that many people fail to see that whatever said and done this is just surgery in simple terms. As in all cases where you come under the knife there are risks involved in this too which many surgeons may never brief you about. Here are few things that you better be aware:
- Scarless surgery does not exist. It can be confined to unseen areas away from your vision but it's still there.
- Liposuction cannot get rid of cellulite. It can remove the extra flab and make your bod look fabulous but then it can worsen cellulite.
- Surgery involves downtime. Recuperation may vary from few days to weeks depending on the surgery.
- You get what you pay for. Anything which looks cheap may actually offer you less than hoped treatment. Make sure the surgeon and the hospital have enough credentials.
- Be cautious of doctors who advertise. The best ones don't need to sell themselves.

Work Harder, Not Longer
When work starts to get on top of you it can be tempting to stay late to finish it. But it isn’t good for you. According to researchers, you’re 61% more likely to suffer work-related injuries than people who do only their contracted hours. Here are some strategies for getting it all done without the overtime, from How To Do Just About Everything In The Office:
->Communicate effectively to ensure the job is done properly first time round.
->Finish one task before you go on to the next.
->Stop thinking that it takes too long to delegate responsibility-it will pay off
over time, especially if the task needs to be done many times.
->Recognize when you have more energy and do the tougher jobs then.
->A short walk away from the office at lunchtime will improve productivity.
->Avoid very tight schedules: factor in time for unexpected delays.

A story for all married couples - must read
One forward that really made me feel so good about life, and the nuances involved. When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I've got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.
Suddenly I didn't know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce. I raised the topic calmly. She didn't seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why? I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn't talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; I had lost my heart to a lovely girl called Dew. I didn't love her anymore. I just pitied her!
With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, 30% shares of my company and the car. She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Dew so dearly.
Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.
The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn't have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Dew. When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.
In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn't want anything from me, but needed a month's notice before the divorce. She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a months time and she didn't want to disrupt him with our broken marriage.
This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day. She requested that everyday for the month's duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door ever morning. I thought she was going crazy.
Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.I told Dew about my wife s divorce conditions. She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully. My wife and I hadn't had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mummy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don't tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset.
I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.
On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest.. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn't looked at this woman carefully for a long time. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.
On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me. On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn't tell Dew about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.
She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily. Suddenly it hit me; she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart.
Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head. Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it's time to carry mum out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day.
But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn't noticed that our life lacked intimacy. I drove to office... jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door.I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind... I walked upstairs.Dew opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Dew, I do not want the divorce anymore.
She looked at me, astonished. Then touched my forehead. Do you have afever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Dew, I said, I won't divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn't value the details of our lives, not because we didn't love each other any more. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death does us apart.
Dew seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away. At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The sales girl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote:
"I'll carry you out every morning until death do us apart"
The small details of our lives are what really matter in a relationship. It is not the mansion, the car, the property, the bank balance that matters. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness in themselves. So find time to be your spouse's friend and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. Do have a real happy marriage!

Let go of the Frills
With the price of steel up by 40 percent, and that of iron ore and cement by 60 percent, the happiest people around are the dealers of construction material. What can be done from our side to cut down the cost of construction in this time when inflation has gone up by large ratios? As few architects suggest in small towns and villages the Laurie baker method of low-cost housing works well, but then that cannot apply to metros. Metros especially ones like Mumbai and emerging ones like Bangalore and Hyderabad are places where we can’t cut down on expenditure when building a new house. The floor space index, location in seismic zones and compliance with Indian Standards Code make it difficult to bring down costs. The only thing that can be done is to reduce the costs cosmetically. This can be enabled by keeping the flooring simple and plumbing ordinary, which cuts down the expenditure by 20 percent. And if we plan to build a small building instead of a large one we can cut the costs to a large extent.

Choose Ur Best MOBILE
Planning to buy a mobile phone???
Features VS price (fact to be considered):
This post will sure guide U to choose a best mobile phone of Ur choice...
Though it may look little bit technical try to read and understand it before buying a mobile
phone. It will be really useful.
Camera:
Dual camera phones allow users to take photographs and also to make videos.
Camera resolution is normally given in pixels. It is nothing but a single point in graphic image. More the no. of pixels more will be the clarity. No. of bits required to represent the pixel also matters. Normally computer display uses 8-bit to represent a pixel, so while choosing a mobile phone see to it how many bits are used to represent a pixel, this is why the clarity decreases when the photographs are viewed in computer than in the mobile phone. Bluetooth VS infrared Bluetooth has got much higher transfer rate than Infrared. Additionally, Bluetooth doesn't require line of sight as in the case of infrared where the infrared ports of both the devices need to face each other in a line of sight. In the case of bluetooth, the devices can be placed anywhere within the range of the device, which ranges from 10 to 100 meters.
MMS Vs email:
Abbreviated as MMS, Multimedia Message Service is a store-and-forward method of transmitting graphics, video clips, sound files and short text messages over wireless networks. MMS, however, is not the same as e-mail. MMS is based on the concept of multimedia messaging. The presentation of the message is coded into the presentation file so that the images, sounds and text are displayed in a predetermined order as one singular message. MMS does not support attachments as e-mail does. To the end user, MMS is similar to SMS.
2G vs 3G:
3G is the third generation of mobile phone standards and technology after 2G.2G networks were built mainly for voice data and slow transmission. Due to rapid changes in user expectation, they do not meet today's wireless needs whereas now 3G supports even faster video transmission.
Difference between CDMA and GSM:
If you need to make calls to other countries, a GSM carrier can offer international roaming, as GSM networks dominate the world market. If you travel to other countries you can even use your GSM cell phone abroad. By purchasing a SIM card with minutes and a local number in the country you are visiting, you can make calls against the card to save yourself international roaming charges from your carrier back home. CDMA phones that are not card-enabled do not have this capability; however there are several countries that use CDMA networks. Check with your CDMA provider for your specific requirements.
GPRS:
GPRS, which supports a wide range of bandwidths, is an efficient use of limited bandwidth and is particularly suited for sending and receiving small bursts of data, such as e-mail and Web browsing, as well as large volumes of data.
Note: Only GSM mobiles supports GPRS not conventional CDMA.
Other than these features audio system, internal memory, wi-fi, business applications etc. are available (anyway I don’t want to go too much technical). Just don’t buy your mobile by going to the shop blindly. First ensure what are the features u desperately need of. Check for the brand and also its price in many shops. Read reviews and finally choose it. All the best !!!

The Royal proposal
He might have finally said the golden words. Speculation is ripe that Prince William may have proposed to his girlfriend Kate Middleton. They are presently on their 'honeymoon' hideaway in the Caribbean. The Royal pair are staying at Villa Rocina owned by Venezuelan millionairess Violera Alvarez and designed by the late British artist Oliver Messel. This sprawling stone house wonder is advertised as a 'dream' hideaway for honeymooners. This comes close on the heels of a rumor doing the rounds that earlier this month, Middleton had told William that she would like him to announce their engagement date soon. She had told him that she "won't wait forever" for him. It could be added here that the couple already broke up once as Middleton thought the romance had flat lined. However the Prince had manged to convince her a more publicly recognized role. Since then she had accompanied him at two royal weddings and also received greater recognition within the Royal Family, mainly from the Queen. Sop we could expect the wedding soon enough. In fact who knows it might even be compared to the dazzling fairy-tale wedding that his mother had.

Losing a Finger
A new problem on the sets of the Hollywood movie Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen has arisen. It's lead actor Shia LeBeouf is facing the possibility of having one of his fingers amputated after his hand was crushed in a recent car accident . A source on the set said that LeBeouf had earlier called producers and told them of this misfortune. This means that the movie which is almost midway into the casting has been thrown into high trouble. Though the Aussie actress Isabel Lucas was with LaBeouf during the crash, she escaped without any injuries. Meanwhile, the actor is also now heading to the rehab to battle his alcohol addiction which could have been the cause of the accident.

Talk Out
Be a social success, at every party-try these tips from Leil Lowendes, the relationship expert.
Never give one word answers: If you're asked what you do, expand on your response so it can start a conversation like,"I'm a social worker and I work with adopted children."
Leave out 'uh-huh': Encourage people to speak by asking questions about what they're saying.
Choose the right questions: Avoid 'where?' or 'where?'-they tend to promote one-line answers. Use 'why?','how?' or 'tell me more'
Sound 'dazzled' even if the conversation is dull: A great conversationalist makes everyone feel appreciated.

Good Luck Charm
Anything for getting the gold. Croatia's water polo team believe their team moustaches, grown especially for Beijing, will prove their lucky charm at the Olympics. Every single member in their team was seen sporting everything from a few wisps of hair to full moustaches when they turned up for Sunday's game against Italy . "It's for good luck, but we can't talk about it, it's a secret, if i tell you, it will ruin it," Igor Hinic was heard telling. They are the world champions but still even they can't take chances. Guess that's the way of life. Man has touched the skies and still he believes in the stars controlling his fortunes. That's just being human.
